Lonestar with a Jelly roll Class

Strip-pieced stars are easier than you think, especially when you start with 2 1/2″ Jelly Roll precut fabric strips.  Basically, you’re going to be working with 36 different fabrics. This sounds like a ton, but this should be available in your jelly roll. In fact, you’ll probably have some extras!  You’ll be working with a group of diamonds to complete this, with one color meeting up in the center. I absolutely adore how mine turned out, and it wasn’t very hard to complete at all.  Twin size 70 x 86”  Queen size 85 x 101”

English Paper Piecing

What is English Paper Piecing? It's a clever way of making precise geometric shapes from fabric, using paper templates as a base. The resulting shapes are then sewn together by hand to create amazing modern patchwork compositions, and finally the paper is removed from inside the stitched piece. It's a little bit magic and a lot of fun! No sewing machines are used, this is all hand sewing -- which makes English Paper Piecing a great project to take on the go.

Trapezoid Block Class

It’s a ONE BLOCK WONDER kind of quilt.  The pattern itself is very simple once you figure out the triangular “Trapezoid” block.  It has three levels of fabric values: light, medium and dark.  Color choices are what makes this quilt so illusion and three dimensional.  We cut all your pieces for you and do all the organization.  So all you have to do is buy the fabric, sign up for a class and the rest is history.  There are no Y seams, although the optical illusion makes you think there are, but we use unfinished seams.

By definition, a bargello quilt is one made of strips of fabric sewn together to create the appearance of movement. These patterns look complicated, but they're actually a fine fit for beginning quilters. If you can sew a straight seam, you can do this! Bargello quilt patterns appear to use small scraps of fabric, mostly squares and rectangles, placed in such a way that they seem to flow and move across the piece these quilts are strip-pieced.

Foundation Paper Piecing Class

Foundation Paper Piecing is a piecing technique in quilt making.  The technique uses paper as a foundation to stabilize the quilt block as it is being constructed.  Once the quilt block is complete, the paper is removed.  With this technique of piecing, almost any shape, size or type of block is possible to create.  The technique is used to achieve precise, small & detailed piecing as well as specific & unusual shapes that might not necessarily be achieved through traditional quilt block piecing.  It can be applied to the most simple or complex quilt blocks and/or quilting units.
